Winning the toss, Deep chose to bat and the team lived up to the challenge by posting a daunting 211 in 33.2 overs. The main contributors were Manoj (again!) and Kamal with good support from Sasi, Sahil and Vivek. Mr Wides top scored with 51 though.
In response, Sparta started a little slowly in the face of some strong bowling by Adeel and Manu who took a wicket each. In the end though, despite a valiant 47 by C van Niekerk, there was not much support from the rest of the team. Kamal and Koku kept up the pressure by bagging a couple of wickets each before Deep polished off the tail with 3 wickets in two overs to secure a victory by 117 runs.
All in all, despite the margin of difference, the match was played in a very cordial atmosphere and everybody enjoyed the day.
